Are happy lab animals better for science?
Helping lab animals to have a life more like they would have in the wild could make their contributions to research more meaningful. Giving them toys, companions, and opportunities to exercise and explore can enrich the lives of the creatures in their care. Such enrichments not only benefit animals, but science as well!
